The Boston Tea Party Reenactment
Celebrate and re-enact the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution—the Boston Tea Party! Presented by Old South Meeting House and the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum, the Annual Boston Tea Party Reenactment is a chance for the public to join in on one of Boston’s most iconic protests. Re-enactors from across New England come together to tell the story of the Boston Tea Party and dramatize the evening of December 16, 1773.
First Night Boston
Since 1975, Boston’s First Night has been a New Year’s Eve celebration of artistic performances, the wonders of the season and the beginning of a new year. In keeping with this fantastic Boston tradition, the First Night celebration in 2020 will continue to be free and open to all.
Entertainment and special attractions will be focused in Copley Square and Back Bay. Many of the beloved traditions of First Night’s past will continue, including cultural and musical performances in various indoor venues around the Back Bay, fantastic ice sculptures, light displays, the People’s Procession at 6:00 PM, and 7:00 PM Family Fireworks sponsored by The Mugar Foundation on Boston Common. Join us and NBC10 Boston, necn, and Telemundo Boston for our signature midnight Copley Countdown pyrotechnics and light show in Copley Square.
